Bai Mon – Dai Lanh Cape belongs to Dong Be, Hoa Tam, Dong Hoa district, Phu Yen province. Dai Lanh Cape was formed by Dai Lanh Range, which is a branch of Truong Son Range stretching towards Eastern Sea.

The cape was discovered by a French General, Varella in 19 century. Varella saw the importance of Dai Lanh Cape in the international marine map. Therefore, in the old map, it was called Cape Varella. The features of the cape is that it both looks like a mountain and an island. The reason for it is that there’s a stream separating it from mainland, yet it actually is on mainland.

Scenery in Dai Lanh mountain has been recognized as the outstanding landscape among many attractions in Vietnam. Local people call Dai Lanh Cape in another name which is Electricity Cape as there’s a lighthouse with 26-m height. The lighthouse is cylindrical with average diameter of 5 m. Inside the cylinder, there 108-step spiral stairs up to the top wood. This is one of 8 lighthouses dating back over 100 years in total 79 active lighthouses in Vietnam.

The lighthouse was built during the French in 1890 for the purpose of navigation for boats and marine activities in Vung Ro Bay.

At the foot of Dai Lanh mountain is Bai Mon. This beach remains unspoiled with crescent moon and 400-m coastline, gentle slope, soft white sand, crystal clear water. In the west of Bai Mon is a spring of fresh water. The stream flows through the rock cliffs, forest in Ca Pass and reach the ocean at its final place through the beach.

The combination between human and nature at Dai Lanh Cape – Bai Mon has created the exceptional landscape which was recognize by many international magazines.
